First off...the leasing agents and doormen are wonderful. Friendly, courteous and professional. Unfortunately that's where the goodness ends. Don't be fooled by the grand exterior and the upscale location. The entire building interior is tired and shabby and in need of a remodel (or a lowering of the rents to compensate). In our apartment the carpet is fraying at the thresholds. Refrigerator trays are cracked. Icemaker does not function. Dishwasher is not attached to the underside of the cabinet so it falls out whenever we try to load it. And ants! Lots of ants. One apartment occupier on our floor is a prodigious smoker to the point the entire floor often reeks of smoke. Unfortunately he/she is next to the trash shute so there is no way to avoid the stench. The pool area is "under construction". While the pool itself is clean and nice, the bathrooms are shut down and the pre-rinse showers do not work. The door is open to one to one the bathrooms and all the rust, standing water, and torn walls make it look like it has been this way for months if not years. Gym equipment is at least 10 years old. And again, the walls, carpets, flooring are tired. Rent payment. Everyone has auto-pay functionality today. Not Mizner. Know why? It is a revenue generator for them. Late one day past grace period (yeah, I know, that's on me) and you are hit with a 10% penalty! Over $200 for a first time late payment. Bottomline is the location cannot be beat and the support personnel are great. But do not expect your living conditions to match. You will be paying premium rents with average to below average conditions.

Myself and three other roommates regret moving into Mizner Park Apartments and couldn't wait until our lease was up. From our tour of the complex with the extremely rude employee named Deborah up until to move out day we had a horrible living experience. All of the ladies in the leasing office have horrible attitudes and are not willing to help you. We fell in love with the location and amenities of the complex but were stunned when we walked into our apartment on moving day. It smelled like cigarette smoking and was nothing like what we saw in our tour. Since moving in, my roommates got BED BUGS. They have had this mattress for over 2 years now and my bed was in the same moving truck as theirs and did not get bed bugs. When we contacted the leasing office about the issue they blamed it on our moving truck and we had to take matter into our own hands and hire a bug man we paid for ourselves and were never reimbursed for this. Every week there was a new problem. Our washer was working fine until one day I started a load of laundry and 5 minutes later I walked into a puddle from the flooding washing machine. Our carpet had to ripped up and fans left on for several nights to dry it out. Our ceiling fan FELL from the ceiling one night and damaged the frame of our bed. Multiple times we would come home to a 90 degree apartment in the middle of June to realize our A/C wasn't working. The maintenance men would fix it for a few hours and they would be back shortly, cursing at the A/C unit in front of us. We were very eager to move out of Mizner Park Apartments and were able to move our stuff out and stay with family for the last couple weeks of our lease. We came back to make sure the apartment was clean, return our keys, etc. to find our carpet in the living room ripped out of the floor. We never once got a phone call saying the maintenance men were going to enter our apartment to do this. This is illegal!!!

Mizner is a wonderful place to live. The beach is a short bike ride away and the community offers bikes to take out! It is beautiful and there is always something going on. The staff is caring and wonderful hard workers! Thanks for all you do!
