Overall this is a very convenient and really nice neighborhood to live in. Transportation is easily accessible. Depending on where the apartment is located within the building, it makes a huge difference in heating and air conditioning as well as noise. In the back apartments on the Basement level, the boiler makes it almost unbearable. Temperatures can be as high as 85 to 90 degrees due to the heat rising through the floors as well as the radiators. For those at the back of the building the noise from trash pickup, repairs, workmen shouting and people moving in and out can also be a bit much. Apartments closes to the Ground floor should have sound proofing windows. Perhaps limit noise after 5:00 or 6:00 pm. Windows need to be open with the heat which makes the noise and people smoking even worse. It may seem I am critical, but as I stated, overall I really liked living here. The gym is great, the staff is fantastic and it was a great home away from home. Truly enjoyed living here with just a few exceptions.

You mean to tell me, they are asking all that money for rent and you are having those issues. Why are these landlords extracting so much money for rent because of location. That means we have all been brain washed to think that location is the best thing since sliced bread. We have been sucker-punched!

Previous Management Company

Ive been here for over 6 months. Overall, it isnt a terrible place to live; its a good location (10 minute walk to the metro/grocery store, safe neighborhood), the front desk is helpful, maintenance is decent, and I like having a gym in the basement. However, I have two major issues: you cannot control the heat, so this winter has been unbearably hot (to the point where I have to run the AC a few times a week) and living above the loading dock is awful. There are trucks in and out of the dock all the time (with the garbage disposal being the worst), people yell and laugh even if it is before 8 in the morning, and people smoke out there and the smell comes in through the window. And then occasionally Ill be woken up from a dead sleep due to something; currently, it is 3am and there is some kind of pump running out there, yet I received no email regarding emergency work. Of course, this is all exacerbated by the fact that I have to keep my window open 24/7 to help with the heat. My review is obviously colored by my units location, so I cannot speak to the experience of living in an outer unit, but I will say that I would give the place 4 or 5 stars if not for the heat and noise issues. So I would NOT recommend this building if the only units available were the ones above the loading dock.
