I have been here for about sixteen years. It has come to feel like home, rather than just 'a place' to live. The courteous staff have helped this, as well as all of the things to do outside of my door and within a few metro stops. Parking can occasionally be tricky; more people have cars now than when I first moved in. My likes and dislikes are: Excellent staff & a wonderful location both right on the red line and right on Rock Creek Park. One can look one way and see the city lights, the other way and see only the forests of Rock Creek. This is pretty nice!
A couple comments: Walls are very thin. Have gotten a few noise complaints myself for that reason and can hear my neighbors sometime. Rent can be pretty high, but I think it's no more expensive than other comparable apartments in the area, maybe cheaper. They have some parking that's free to tenants or you can pay for a garage, which is not cheap but I guess that's how it is in DC. My likes and dislikes are: Great neighborhood! Very easy to meet friends if you are young and single. The apartment management also throws parties for the tenants a few times a year, so you can meet some of your neighbors there. Easy walk to several restaurants and a few bars. Very close to the metro. Some of the apartments have beautiful views.
I have lived in the Quebec House for 9 years. The staff is nice, the maintenance team is quick and it is affordable. Great deal if you have a car - both buildings have free outdoor parking lots and there is on-street parking. If you want to pay for parking there are options as well. The residents are a mix of single professionals from their late 20's - 40's and senior citizens. My likes and dislikes are: I love Cleveland Park! Great restaurants, great location, small neighborhood feel. Just outside of the fray.
I do not have a car, so I tried to indicate no opinion on parking. It came out a one star, which is incorrect. My likes and dislikes are: The building is well maintained and the people are quiet and nice. Maintenance is quick and efficient. Staff are welcoming and friendly. The neighborhood has many restaurants and grocery stores are nearby. Good place to live.
