When my husband and I relocated from Atlanta, Gables Woodley Park provided us with all of the comforts of southern living in the heart of DC and for reasonable price compared to other apartments we saw.
I so loved living here for two years--the neighborhood is at the hub of three bridges, leading to Dupont Circle, Adams Morgan, and Cleveland Park, with the National Cathedral and the Washington Monument in view. The world comes to you with the proximity of two of Washington's largest conference hotels. I had the privilege of watching motorcades of the Pope, the President, and the Vice President go down our street and past my window throughout my time there. It's a dog friendly building, and the neighborhood across the street is a great place to walk the dogs and run into new friends both from and outside the building. I felt at home every night in my beautiful one BR with a floor-to-ceiling, street-facing picture window and will miss it greatly. My only negative comment would be that--even though I realize the for-profit corporate policies are designed to make money--keeping loyal and happy residents should be more of a factor in setting more moderate lease renewal rate increases.

I am leasing a one bedroom apartment for 6 months at Gables Woodley Park; a temporary housing arrangement while we search for a place to buy in the DC metro area. I love the neighborhood; the building is close to the Metro, Adams Morgan, and Dupont Circle. Although I am sure I can't afford to buy real estate in the area, renting at Gables Woodley Park makes living here possible. The unit itself feels spacious and open. I have an interior unit, so there's no noise from the street. The building itself looks and feels like a hotel with music playing throughout the first floor, a large gym with a wide range of exercise machines, staff that is accommodating and approachable, a media center with computers and a printer, a pool table, and a large screen TV. They offer complimentary breakfast in the morning and cookies in the afternoon and the coffee machine in the Wi-Fi caf� will keep any resident caffeinated all day long.
We love it at HP Brownstones... Lots of kids and very nice neighbors
What is a Certified Resident?
A resident who lives at the property and has completed a resident satisfaction survey.
Advertising properties provide a list of email addresses of its residents to Kingsley Associates, a third party market research firm, who then sends out the satisfaction survey to the residents. Properties may also conduct satisfaction surveys of its residents through other third party market research firms. In those cases, we will publish those survey responses as long as the questions conform to our standard survey format.
