Coming from someone who was also evicted from this residence (due to my own faults and lack of payment), I can say I didn't have the same experience as the person who previously commented. Looking back, they actually were very mindful of my situation, no negative confrontation. You gotta understand, if you don't pay your rent these things happen and you gotta take responsibility. I never felt as though the staff wanted me out on the streets or anything, but rules are rules and they have to follow them. Aside from the point, I enjoyed living there very much. Very clean and quiet community. I'm actually on here looking to show my daughter because shes looking for a place in the Smyrna area for her and her boyfriend and my grandson. I think this would be a great fit.
I actually really love my apartment here at Sunnyside and presently work as a Music Instructor at SMS. Generally, when I have a good experience someplace (and when I recognize people who are genuine and really care about what they're doing), I try to give them five minutes of my time just to say thanks and let them know they are appreciated. I have had no problems at all here - in fact a pretty pleasant experience so far, which includes positive interactions with the my neighbors, the Leasing Office and the Maintenance Team. It has truly been a pleasure settling into this community. GO EAGLES!
I would highly, highly looking for another place to live than here. This apartment complex retaliated against me after I advise that I noticed when lightening candles, I would cough up soot caused by improper ventilation, and I showed them pictures of how my snow white suede king head board custom maid was now blacken because of their ventilation problems. They refused to pay for my bed, I paid rent and they applied it to the wrong apartment and still charged me a late fee. They stated I owed $365 but couldn't explain where this amount came from. I called Donna who is suppose to be a manager and she is just as crooked. I advised donna that I wanted to hold off on paying rent until I see her Friday so we can work out how much money I owed. Donna took me to court for unpaid rent and it was the 8th of May 2018. I went a head and paid my monies the judge advised me to pay $749 and I paid $1200, Donna went to court and told the judged that I had not paid and I got an eviction notice on a Friday and my locks were changed on Monday by a constable. I was suppose to get a day to get my items equaling 24 hours, I got six hours to move all of my stuff and Donna was threatening to keep my furniture which was very expensive 70' smart tv and the rest were 60'-55' flat smart tv, sectional Italian leather over $5k so after I complained they told me I would be able to come back on Monday if I pay the prorated amount of my rent $1150 from 1st - 9th to equal $333 in money order form only. Yes I was extorted. When I was wrongfully evicted, I saw them placing letters on four other doors. I lived there over 5 years and I know over 50% of people have moved. One of my niece's friend moved in and in their lease agreement they can't have certain colors of furniture or curtains up in their apartment. These management was in Middletown, which is another of Lenape's properties, they had too many complaints so they were transferred to Smyrna. All I can say is, rent at your own risk
There the only game in town really so they kinda overcharge for there apartments. They are nice apartments just think there worth about 200 less a month
First impressions make the difference. I arrived on site to view the property on two separate occasions. Both occassions the personnel in the main office were not the friendliest or professional. I arrived another day because I thought maybe they were having an "off day" and that I was mistaken. Upon my second return to gather additional information about the apartments, personnel did not give me a tour. I was given a key and told to explore the property. I had trouble opening the door and asked personnel for assistance, one lady rolled her eyes and gave me short answers. Nonetheless, she finally got up from her desk to assist me. Respect and dignity go a long way. Watch how you treat people, you never know who you are speaking with. It pays to treat people right. Because of these two occasions, I choose else where to live. They lost a potiental resident and I communicated such.
