I Think that the office personnel are great,and willing to help you with any need even if it`s minor,and the maint response time is excellent.
Treated like family by office management staff. Maintenance requests are seldomly required and are responded to promptly. Facilities are kept in excellent condition with any non-compliance issues dealt with professionally and courteously. Inconveniences for major projects are acknowledged in advance and are kept to an essential minimum. I feel safe and well cared for in my community at Barrett's Run.

I've lived at Barrett's Run for about 3 years now and love my apartment! The office staff is always friendly and any time I've had a maintenance issue, the guys were super quick to respond.
If you have no other option but to rent from Capano, a few words to the wise:
Do not trust the management to keep their word on anything, even the ones who seem knowledgeable or fair. When it comes down to being honest versus doing what the company asks, they will toe the company line every time.
Document on the move-in sheet every nick, scratch or mark. If possible, take pictures.
In minor matters, such as maintenance requests and notice timelines, communicate in writing. Information you receive from front office staff on the phone is frequently wrong, and messages you leave often get lost in their office. Their front office has high turnover, (which should be another red flag,) so you will rarely speak to the same person twice. If you must speak in person or on the phone, document every request and response with who you spoke to, when, and exactly what you were told.
In major matters regarding the lease and especially if you are disputing monies withheld from the security deposit, always send a certified letter with proof of receipt, even if you live just across the street. The landlord tenant code advises you to communicate with the management company at the address provided. This does not include an email address, even if one is named in the lease. Do not send your response by regular mail or drop off your written notice, either. By law, email and regular mail do not count as in writing, although the office staff will tell you they do. It is in their interest to mislead you, as they benefit financially if you are not informed.
Management will withhold your security deposit if you communicate with them about the deposit by email or letter, even if they know there is no damage to the property. Through this loophole they can use your money to do any renovations they desire, and they dont have to prove a thing.
Capano does not "value their tenants." They will burn tenant relationships for quick cash up front.
