I was very disappointed in the way Hidden Creek Commons conduct their business. From day one of move in my move in date kept being moved back multiple times because they did not have a clean apartment ready. Then when I finally moved in the apartment was never painted, all the fixtures were out dated, the cabinets were painted with regular wall primer so when you wipe your cabinets down the paint comes right off. My washer has been over flowing every since I moved into my apartment almost a year ago. the 2nd bedroom door fell right off the hinges the 2nd day I moved in. The air condition does not cool the rooms evenly my 2nd bedroom is real cool and the main bedroom is always hot. The office staff has changed multiple times. Upon moving in I was not given a parking sticker and about a month after living there my car was towed in the middle of the night and I was responsible to pay 250.00 to get it out of tow. Went to the office and told the office manager my car was towed and that I was not given a parking sticker and she acted like I was bothering her. And asked me what does she want me to do. The tow company stated all she had to do was call them and they would refund the money she never did that and I further called and emailed corporate office and they never responded not once. Upon moving in I was told by office manager that my quest can park behind the building after 9 months of them parking there on a regular basis their car was also towed and they had to pay 250.00 to get their car out of tow. Again went to the office and told the office manager what had happened and she stated what do you want me to do yet again and stated that its not her problem what the other manager told me she is no longer here. Trash is always overflowing out of the trash bins and all over the ground. Office staff very rude and the way they speak to their maintenance I see why they can not keep any staff. Watch your bill and added fees. Keep all rent receipts mandatory.
DO NOT MOVE HERE! You work too hard to pay so much.
The state of Delaware Attorney General recently won a lawsuit settlement against Hidden Creek Commons for false advertisement. (google it!)
Every apartment does not look the same. Definitely do not go by the pictures. Really, know what you are paying for. Ask what unit and tour it for yourself.
The fire department has responded to the complex flooding alarm system two times within 12 months. The management has not responded to the incidents through letter or flyers.
The managment will post flyers on residents doors of late rent amount for your neighbors to see your financial hardship.
There are tow trucks that come through the complex every night prepared to flash lights in your car to verify you have a residential sticker. If there is no sticker your car will be towed. New residents have experienced this because the leasing office forgot to provide them with a sticker.
There is no snow and ice removal.
The present property manager (4th within one year) is lazy, rude, slow to responding to maintenance calls, and unable to get things done. It would be a nice place to stay if there was solid management.
The maintence does not have resources to do their jobs, so it's hard for them to respond. They have to go through the property manager who is useless and unethical. Just to get a new tenant into a unit they do patch work, and do not replace anything.
There are so many vacant apartments that have not been touched until they receive notice of a new tenant. High turnover rate for crew.
The garbage pick-up is horrible. It's always overflowed and some weeks the garbage company does not come.
The pool was only open for portion of the season. You pay for a 25.00 monthly membership fee.
DO NOT RENT AN APARTMENT HERE.
Besides the ignorance from the office staff, the maintenance staff has not fixed anything. Place is dirty and run down!
Do NOT move here.. this would be the worst decision you could ever make. Management is horrible a complete nightmare! Nothing gets fixed its completely over priced and dirty. They dont hold up to their part of the agreement but are quick to threaten eviction if you are late on your rent. They think embarrassing the residents is the way to do business. This place is a joke.. do yourself a favor and just live in a box.
Maint. Staff is on point! New employees very knowledgeable especially with heating and electrical. Notice complex changing for the better! About time!!
