Very responsive; invested in the tenants and in maintaining a safe, clean environment.
We had already seen the apartment layout on-line & we had scheduled an appointment 9:00am on a Saturday morning to see a unit. However, the girl was only willing to show us the layout on the computer (I got up early on a Saturday morning for this???). We could have looked at the layout again from any computer. WE WERE THERE TO SEE THE APARTMENT!
Then, they tried to quote us a higher rent amount than what they had stated just 3 days prior to us going in & wasting part of a Saturday morning. Regardless, we were still considering renting an apartment until...
We heard a current tenant talking to a maintenance man regarding her air conditioning had yet to work since she had moved in 6 to 7 weeks prior to our visit. It was late last month & she was concerned that her air conditioning would still not be working when July began. She had made numerous requests to have her air conditioning repaired, but the requests had fallen on deaf ears.
Between not being able to see the unit in person, the suspicious practice of changing the rent amount at the last minute (of the multiple apartments we have considered, Eaves was the only 1 that tried to change the rent amount) & the unresponsiveness of tenants' concerns being addressed, it became clear to us that we needed to eliminate Eaves Apartments from consideration.
We have found another apartment & will be moving into it soon.
Please take time to read this review before you even think to rent from this place. We are far from high maintenance and just your average couple who wanted to live closer to work! For me to even leave a bad review is out of character but I thought I should help future couples/roommate before they make a bad decision to live here.
My fianc and I moved into the 93 Building of Eaves Apartments in March 2017 and rented for 12 months. Between the small tight parking spots, noisy neighbors (the walls are paper thin!!), dated apartments, maintenance not knowing what the heck they're doing, overcharging, this place is a SCAM.
1) The rent is way too high for these small apartments. They say it will be $1600- $1800 but you have to pay 100 dollars a month for an extra parking space plus parking tax, you also pay for trash collection, water, utilities, sewer, amenity fees. Omg it's such a joke. Also, regarding your separate electric bill... good luck... the a/c & heat run on electric... your bill will be extremely high in the cold months and the air conditioning does not work properly. The heat also does not work, it blows out cold air (running for at least an hour wasting electricity) before heating the apartment. Our bill was 350 for December.. We're not even home all day!! Weve addressed this issue so many times we gave up towards the end!
2) Maintenance has no clue what they are doing. We called them when we absolutely had to. We're not those people who nit pick about everything either. We had issues with the a/c several times and they always said ok its fixed or theres nothing wrong with it. One of the guys told my fianc well its an old building for the heat not working properly. We also had this black soot powdery looking stuff all over our plastic containers and items in our apartment. I freaked out thinking its mold and they came right away but said it was from a candle I had in the apartment! Really a candle makes black stuff appear on everything?
Beautiful apartments! Great customer service!
