I will start by saying, I consider myself a reasonable person who has rented from 5 different buildings over the past 7 years, and while few buildings are perfect, generally had very positive experiences with every one except postmark. I also was not planning on leaving a negative review, until recent events that have left me with no choice. TLDR: I would never recommend a friend or family member live here. Their management office is completely incompetent and the building is not well constructed.
I'll start with the building details, since as a frequent renter I know that's typically of the most interest: From and apartment standpoint - the finishes are fine but the quality is lacking. Examples:
1) The windows are cheap, I'm a heavy sleeper and I was woken up numerous times throughout the night from windows rattling in the wind
2) As I'm sure you'll see in other reviews, the elevators are TERRIBLE. We lived on the 12th floor, which certainly exacerbated the issue, but it is no exaggeration that you will often have to wait 10+ minutes for an elevator to arrive. Additionally, one of the two elevators is almost always broken, and it takes too long for management to put it out of service. It took over a week for them to shut down the elevator despite complaints of loud scraping and banging noises.
3) The gym equipment is often broken (3 of the 4 treadmills were frequently out of commission). The gym is heavily used, and is included as part of a required amenity fee. When we complained, management told us we could pay to join an area gym, or go running outside. Fine - but then don't charge us $65 dollars a month.
4) Our apartment had leaks from the roof that bled into our living room, and minor small issues like the fake finish on the cabinets often peeled off and door stops fell out, the floor boards separated etc. (all minor if not part of all the other issues).
Now to my biggest complaint, the management office accused us of not paying rent, charged us numerous lat

I seriously doubt you'll want to share this! We were so excited about living here! We did a lot of research and looked at a lot of apartments. It's sad that one experience within our first 3 months has seriously left us disappointed... Especially since we signed an 18 month lease.
Very nice, upscale community if you stay on the block, not so much if you turn the corner. Nice appliances in apartment. Nice amenities (though costly - paying for this & trash on top of rent). Easy access to train station & downtown Stamford. Elevators are horrible - VERY slow most of the time. Noise outside from commercial trucks driving by every morning (even with windows closed) can be frustrating. Monthly water & sewage fees, which were not disclosed when lease was signed.
