We just want to say that Highcroft Apartment Homes have exceeded our expectations! From the modern interior to the luxury facilities, these apartments are second to none. The staff at Highcroft are always welcoming and helpful! They are the face of the company and they do more than an amazing job! We are thrilled to have found these apartments that we can proudly call our home!!
Ever since moving into this apartment complex, I've had nothing but a great experience! Everyone was warm and welcoming. This complex has great amenities and "free" food Friday's one time per month to get the community together. The entire staffing here are wonderful. They always quick to respond to a question, and the one time there was a maintenance issue it was resolved within the day. I would definitely recommend Highcroft apartment homes to others.
My family and I moved into Highcroft in the middle of July after living in a rental that was horrible for about 5 months. We could not be more pleased with the decision to be living in what we consider the best apartments in Simsbury! From the moment we moved our first box in, all of the neighbors and members of the community were so warm, welcoming, and friendly. The staff really want to know the feedback the residents have so that they continue adding things to the wonderful complex. My family have been finding that we prefer to spend our weekends at the apartment now because there is always people around to talk to and things to do. Between the clubhouse with a full kitchen, living room area, 2 TVs and many games to play, the pool, the outdoor cooking stations throughout, and the fabulous fire pit and patio we always have somewhere we can go. The landscaping and the way the buildings are built into the land are exquisite. 100% would recommend Highcroft Apartments to anyone looking to delve into the wonderful apartment living lifestyle!
Still going through growing pains here. Constant threatening notifications. Dog park was just put in during the last month of our lease, after being told it would be in 8 months ago. If packaged are received at the leasing office, you have a 50/50 chance of them informing you. They will lie to you in order to get you to sign a lease. In our case, the biggest issue was that we paid a premium for a corner unit we were told was a "quiet, true end unit with little construction traffic". We basically live on a construction access highway. Construction which was supposed to be complete Feb 2017. Our lease is now expiring and construction is just being completed - however I was basically told tough luck, delays happen and sorry you were told it was quiet. Its just a shame. These places shouldn't be advertising certain amenities that don't exist or make promises they can't deliver on. All I need is a little transparency and this is not the case with the management team here. Don't get me wrong, the amenities that do exist are nice but definitely not worth the inflated rental prices for this community. I'd gladly give up the amenities for a management team that makes you feel like this is actually your home.
If I could do it again, would I choose to live here - highly unlikely:
The club house is great, they offer 'Free Food Friday's' once a month, blankets for the fire pit, dog washing station, and small pool.
The actual apartment we reside in is great - quiet interior walls, open floor plan, large rooms, high ceilings, and good natural light.
For a community who prides themselves on being 'pet friendly', it couldn't paint a more false picture. The dog park which was promised to us, upon move in - yep, no longer happening. Upon move in, there wasn't a single dog waste station. (Note: They have since installed two stations - but of course they're installed closest to the garbage compactor, doing no service to those living furthest from it.)
A few other gripes include:
1. The number one deciding factor to live in the unit we chose is because it was sold to us as a 'quiet end unit' - ha! What a joke that was. We are now paying a premium to live in one of the nosiest apartments in the community, with a constant flow of trucks (i.e. transporting materials for Phase 2/3, garbage trucks, working trucks, etc.). People even spinning their tires and burning out.
2. Parking... If you don't get home before the rush, don't expect to park anywhere near your complex.
3. They don't tell you when you've received a package to the club house.
4. They are friendly and accommodating until after they've gotten you in the door - then forget about it.
5. Communications sent to residents about various issues/restrictions is sent in a very negative threatening way.
6. If you put in a Service Request, don't expect a quick turnaround time.
