Buyer Beware. I really wish I had listened to the previous reviews. So, I was in the process of moving into this building in October. The building itself looks nice as are the apartments and the amenities. The leasing staff started off very friendly and very accommodating. Haley was a pleasure to deal with until I changed my mind about moving in. Here's where the "buyer beware" comes from. Let me start by saying: I never signed a lease. During the application process you are required to pay $100 for the application fee (which is nonrefundable) and a $500 deposit which is refundable within 48 hours. The issue is, they do not tell you on the application nor during the application process when this mysterious 48 hour period starts and ends. You will not know if the 48 hours is from the time you signed the lease, the day you signed the application, the date you bought your first car, the date you win the lotto, or the day you changed your mind about moving in to the building. After speaking to the leasing manager (Jen) and the community manager (name unknown). I was thoroughly educated on how the state of Connecticut law's work and how this is a standard agreement. I was also informed how other documents (which I didn't sign), state that the deposit is refundable within 48 hours of signing the application. However, the document they mentioned was NOT the document that I signed. Let me make this clear, I did not move into this apartment. I did not sign a lease. So, again, buyer beware. Do not pay the application and/or deposit fee unless you're absolutely sure you want to move in to this building which quite frankly seems very nice during the sign up process, but I don't know what will be in store for you after that point.
Ideal property with all the finishes, features, and amenities to begin a life in CT, particularly if commuting daily to NYC. John B
Moved into the The Waypointe in July and couldn't be happier. Apartments are spacious and have high end appliances, fixtures and fittings. Very happy with the gym and amenities. Location is a big plus, close to restaurants, train, highways and will only get better when the retail space fills out. Major props to the Staff at Waypointe from the Office to the Desk to the Maintenance/Cleaning Team. Very happy with the decision to make The Waypointe home.
DON T LIVE HERE. It looks good on the tour. Then you try to move in, what a mess with no proper elevator. You put a king bed in the elevator and a big dresser, NOT. The quality is not worth the price. I will say, the sales staff is very smart. They never tell you the extra charges. You move and WHAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, pay up!!!!
So far everything is amazing. The location to restaurants cant get any better. Our apartment is fabulous and spacious and management consistently keeps you well informed about what is going on in the building.
