The best managed building in New Haven! Ive been a tenant for 10 years and can recommend without any reservation at all the management , the maintenance staff, and the Concierge front desk service. The building and public areas are always exceptionally clean. The Eli is ideally located for walking to restaurants, grocery stores, theaters and museums. It also has a secure
parking lot. Its an historic building in a quiet neighborhood with no overflowing weekend bar crowds. A haven in New Haven.
Elegantly maintained, the Eli Apartment offers magnificent views of my Alma Mater, Yale University. The sitting areas have outstanding views that would rival any apartment. Anyone can enjoy exercising in the gym and relaxing in the downstairs lounge. Close proximity to outstanding restaurants makes living in the area convenient.
What makes this place so special is the extraordinary attention to detail provided by the staff. They all make you feel at home and are both gracious and professional. From the office staff to the maintenance personnel to the front desk security, everyone here makes you feel welcome. If you are considering moving to New Haven, Connecticut, and want to experience a very unique way of living, I encourage you to explore this wonderful haven.
My apartment had a whole in one of its walls, and there were worms coming out of it. The management declined to fix it because it initially occurred on a Saturday, and then tried to blame me. Needless to say, Im moving out of the Eli and moving into a newer building in the area.
I suggest you avoid this building. The management is unprofessional and disrespectful: they do not attend to emergencies if it is a weekend: There was a hole in one of the bathroom walls because the shower leakage, and bugs were coming out of it over a weekend (the apartment is next to the chute) and the management refused to take calls. They do not abide by the clauses in the contract: many residents have pets despite the contract says otherwise; the contract requires the building to have a doorman outside the business hours, which is definitely not the case when I was living there for more than a year. There are many other good quality buildings in New Haven; so I would avoid this
Beautiful building and excellent location. Staff go out of their way to be helpful.
