Girard at Cherry Hills

Renter beware! Horrible management and staff. This complex allows smoking both in and around all of their units and does not disclose it to renters. Rent anywhere else!

The most positive thing I can about The Girard at Cherry Hills is that they do have a month to month option which is helpful - actually I can't imagine anyone choosing to live there longer than they had to. We moved in while we were searching for a new home and were only there, thankfully for 40 days. We chose a 1st floor since we wanted it to be easier to move in and out, however there are a considerable number of steps on the outside just to get to your "first floor". Once you're there don't expect a quiet night's sleep. Dogs are everywhere and regularly are left to bark at any time. There is almost no noise abatement between floors. We could hear people simply walking around in the apartment above us which is very disturbing when at 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning it sounds like there is a parade over your head. We found our new home and moved out after 40 days of sleep interrupted - either by barking dogs or parades. To top it all off they charged us $115.00 "apartment cleaning" fee and $120 for "carpet clean and stain treatment". which was taken from our $500 security deposit. We left the apartment in exactly the same condition - if not better- than when we moved in. After all, we were there for 40 days. We are two retired adults who spent most of our time out looking for a new home. So - beware - We could not recommend this place for anything but short term and only if you already have insomnia. Also - expect to be ripped off of half your security deposit regardless of the condition you leave the place.

Snow removal happens whenever they feel like it. When we are expecting a storm there is no salt laid down prior. The main walkways are shoveled but the walkways leading to individual units are left full of snow. The staors are never shoveled and are very slippery. The dog bags are empty for the whole weekend sometimes. There is a lot of people who don't pick up their dogs poop.

So far, I have had a very pleasant experience living at the Girard. This is mainly because of the excellent management office and maintenance crew. While the facilities aren't exactly the most luxurious or amazing, they are still very serviceable for my needs. The gym was recently renovated and the pool is about to open up soon too. Maintenance requests are often responded to very quickly. And I have not had trouble voicing my concerns with management, which has been very respectful to me.

Good place to call home

I love this place. My family and I moved in here almost two years ago. It's a great community for families with kids. The office staff is always friendly and happy to help. Maintenance always responds quickly and resolves issues. It definitely feels like home.

The management is friendly and always try to do their best with whatever the problem seems to be.. I don't know much about apartment living, but I have heard horror stories about other places. I would give the Girard 5 stars...

The Girard at Cherry Hills apartment homes offer a great community. As a new and growing family living here we have had a safe and enjoyable experience. The swimming pool and grilling area is our favorite part, we look forward to the addition of the excersize area! For a worrisome mom, this community is safe for small children. The grass areas and apartment entrances are raised and separated from the parking lot which allows for relaxed playtime. The matience crew is phenomenal and very trusted. They're prompt responding to any issues or complaints we've had (very minor issues by the way) Overall, I would definitely recommend looking into The Girards as your future home. We've met so many wonderful people and love the staff and surrounding area.

The newly remodeled units are beautiful! The new appliances really give the apartment the feeling of a true, comfortable home.

Overall we have had a good experience and appreciate the thoughtful and professional management. We didn’t want to rent and from corporate but have been pleased how nice and easy to work with they have been. Thank you!

Iam living in this apartment from last 5 years and absolutely love it, good and friendly environment for kids, good schools around and the staffs are awesome.
