I had a move in date set and on my move in day the apartment wasnt even cleaned from the last tenants and they still had to replace the carpet. They told me it wouldnt be done until noon, so the ONE PERSON that came in to replace the carpet didnt get done until almost 5:00 p.m. I hired moving guys & took that day off from work. So unexceptionable!
TOTAL FRAUDS. Lied about receiving lease renewal and went on to force payment of month to month lease fee. NEVER RENT HERE EVER. This company doesn't care about anyone. Check the 3 bedroom apartments carefully because none are up to the fire code. They are illegally leasing a three bedroom apartment despite the third room having no closet or accessible window (legal requirements). Repeatedly tried to cheat us out of money and they leave nails and screws all over the ground.
WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER SEEN
Honestly, this place has improved from what it used to be. Parking is still a mess and if you're someone like me who won't be home before 5pm, you won't find parking unless you want to pay for a carport I'm paying for 2 just to avoid parking on the street . Walls are thick enough to never really notice you have neighbors, however I do live on the top floor so I couldn't tell you if its worse on the lower levels. Overall though, this is a good enough place to live. The prices are a little steep but they're about average for the city these days. My only complaint is the wasps that live in the buildings and lack of prevention and overuse of pesticides that happen because of them.
Ascend has been one of the better places I've lived in the past ten years. The staff are always friendly and helpful and maintenance is pretty quick about fixing things related to our apartment. I will say that parking can be a pain anytime after 9pm which doesn't help the night owl in me. And occasionally noise is a problem but more annoying than anything to really get upset over. The complex is rather pet friendly and the grounds are kept clean and safe. Just don't rent a 3rd floor place if you have bum legs. All in all a few minor grievances like any other place but by far one of the better places I've lived.
Okay it's a place to live.
Let me know when this property is back on the market
