The pros definitely outweigh the cons at this complex, but some of the cons are pretty bad... First off don't get a unit located near a trash chute, especially in building #1 where some of the mentally challenged neighbors absolutely destroy the disposal area, bringing in armies of roaches and an odor to the hallways that smells like a someone blended a baby diaper and moldy cheese smoothie, ate it, then went #2 right outside your door. It's not an exhaggeration, the mess and smell get unbearable, and the apt management does nothing about it, other than sending in the porter to clean it as often as possible. I know it's the guys job, but he shouldn't have to deal with that everyday because some of the neighbors have IQ's in the 70 range and can't properly dispose their garbage. All that being said, the complex is still a good place to live. It's a safe location in Van Nuys, and easy access to the 405. They allow dogs which is awesome! Their application process is great, and they don't require an astronomical amount for initial deposit. Staff is friendly and easy to talk to. The building superintendant is also cool for the most part, except it definitely feels like he's patronizing you when you come in with an issue, but still a good guy. Overall, I would recommend the apt complex.
