I am very very happy living here.
It is a home in the woods, nestled in the middle of a big city. It is quiet and clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. On a quiet night you might hear a coyote or an owl.
Overall I have enjoyed my time here at Presido Landmark, it is a beautiful location nestled in the woods of the Presidio and just a walk away from the rest of the city. It is amazingly quiet and if one listens carefully at night, one might hear an owl or a coyote. In the summer months I have learned to expect cool weather and bring a jacket, that I can take off again at about 6th and Geary. The staff are friendly and helpful, Robert always has a smile. I would recommend Landmark to others as a home getaway from the city.
Very pleasant, particularly in regard to the interesting people who live here - an enriching experience.
The location is amazing, with stunning beauty all around. Residents are generally cool. I'd provide an Excellent rating if I felt property management (Forest City) functioned more effectively. Case in point: over the last three years, countless late night, ear-splitting, building evacuations for *false* fire alarms have impacted residents and the San Francisco Fire Department. We're not talking about 3 or 4 times -- it's dozens of unnecessary evacuations. For families with kids, it's been just awful. Although management seems to have recently taken action to resolve the issue (3 years in), they can and should do more to be more actively involved and accountable for what's going on here. Front-line personnel are outstanding and go the extra mile to make it a great place to live, but it seems to break down a bit just beyond that. It feels like higher-ups care more about profit potential and less about the community at the Presidio Landmark.
Discover apartments where you wake up and are reminded that you are a part of something bigger. Not only do you have a peaceful, private haven with a National Park right out your front door, but all of San Francisco's vibrant culture and city life is just down the block. Right here there are wonderful amenities that make it easy to stay fit, get together with friends, and unwind. Sit on the historic portico where generations of sailors came before you. Or keep it casual under the stars, and gather with friends around the fire pit. Nowhere else in San Francisco will you find an historic building that's been thoughtfully and sustainably renovated, with modern comforts, conveniences and pampering services--all within a National Park.
