I have lived at 2000 Post for 8 or so months now. We were promised a pool that would open on July 1 when we signed our 12 month lease. It is still not open and when it does open it will be the dead of winter, rendering it useless. I wouldn't recommend living in a place that lies to you repeatedly.
DO NOT LIVE AT 2000 POST. They have lied time and time again. The apartments are anything but luxury. Definitely NOT paying for what you're supposedly getting.
2000 Post is an excellent place to live in San Francisco. You are right in Pacific Heights with close proximity to Fillmore Street, as well as great restaurants all around the area. It is a very safe neighborhood, and management makes it a priority to keep tenants safe as well. 2000 Post has great amenities such as a gym, outdoor BBQ, package lockers, and free coffee in the gym! You will thoroughly enjoy your experience.
Don't live here.
I feel like I was lied to about the construction. I signed a lease in March, and the construction was announced and then began in April. I'm paying a couple hundred dollars each month over similar apartments b/c I enjoyed the amenities, particularly the hot tub and grill. The pool construction was supposed to last just over 2 months, with reopening in early July. We're now nearing the end of October, and there is no clear end in sight. There is a complete lack of transparency, as the new reopening date gets pushed back continuously 1 month at a time, 2 weeks after it has already passed. I don't know if it blatant lying or pure incompetence, but either way I am furious. For the amount of money I'm spending on rent I would prefer to live somewhere I can trust management. Also - and unsurprisingly - the listed price for my unit dropped by about $200 a month as soon as the construction started. Of course no one will pay extra for these amenities when they are not available, but I'm stuck paying the pre-construction rate.
