WORST PLACE TO RENT!!! Go ANYWHERE else! The management switches often, the maintenance crew never responds and you get charged a cleaning fee when you leave everything spotless. The pool is filthy, nothing is on time, and they charge you $35 for a trash service when there are recycling and trash dumpsters available. Not enough parking so don't believe the lies. We had to pay a nearly $200 SMUD bill because they hired someone who tripped a switch to shut off the outside unit when the fan wasn't working PLUS a fee to SMUD to remove an additional piece we didn't ask for - and they refused to refund any of it. They didn't even care when the apartment above us leaked into our kitchen during renovations. It took 5 months for a rent concession when we went all winter without heat and had to take turns heating the bedrooms because the breaker would flip if we both wanted heat to sleep. Awful and dishonest people who own and run the place.
This place looks great when you tour it! Too bad the display apartment looks NOTHING like what you will actually move into. Ask ANY of the current residents if they are happy here and everyone will tell you to run! They love to come up with new fees like valet trash ($35), pest control for spiders ($8), liability (when they "lose" your rental insurance documents, clean up fees (this should be called the stop complaining fee because they nit pick your patio decor when you ask them to repair unrelated things. Ex. crappy dryer, busted sink, etc.)

DEANNA is the worst manager ever. I dont know why she even works here. She does nothing for the tenants and she will lie to your face to make you go away. Maintenance is slow and they hire really sketchy people. This place has roaches and fleas and spiders everywhere. The gate is always broken and in the summer they let anyone use the pool even if theyre not residents. Dont move here!
Management in the Office is horrible. We started out paying $80 a month for water sewer garbage added to our rent. The amount kept gong up and up every month with no cap on it and got as high as $138 extra added to your rent every month. Plus the walls are so thin you can hear all your neighbors talking and walking loud. Plus they force you to pay for a pick up garbage service at your door and pay another $35 for that wether you want it or not its added to your rent. And the garbage people dont pick up your garbage at your door every day like your forced to pay for extra. One of the horrible manager Deanna bright ideas

To reserve an apartment home: A $100 holding deposit and a $44.50 Application Fee (per adult) will be collected along with a completed application to secure your new apartment home with Portofino on the Lake. The $100 deposit is refundable within the first 72 hours.<BR><BR>Pet Policy: Cats and dogs are welcome at Portofino on the Lake! A $500 pet deposit will be collected per pet, limit 2 cats, 1 cat and 1 dog, 2 dogs not more than 25lbs. each or 1 dog up to 50 pounds. Current veterinarian records will be requested to ensure all vaccinations are current and the pet does not exceed the weight limit. Additionally a pet application will need to be submitted. Pet Rent is $25.00 per month per pet
