Selby Ranch is a lovely older gated community in a park like setting near the American River. Some of the amenities, such as the entry gate, are showing their age; however, they still function satisfactorily for the moment.
My apartment is a great value and I love living here!
I really enjoy living at Selby and feeling like I am in the mountains with all those beautiful trees. It is calming and peaceful even though you are near a very busy and noisy hub. I also have some great neighbors, young and old and our social events held by the asociation are lovely get togethers! For me, the location is also perfect as I can get to most the places I want/need to go to - whether it is the grocery store, banks, coffee shops, doctors, restaurants, shopping, movies, pharmacy, gas station, etc.
I have been in Sacramento for 22 years and moved directly to Selby Ranch. I left for about 6 years to help care for grandchildren and then returned to Selby Ranch. I do like Selby Ranch. There are things that could be better, but it has always felt like home. As we all know everything can't be perfect.
