Do not let AMC Living, the property management company for this complex, fool you. If you view their website, you'll see all kinds of cool stuff that's not actually anywhere near reality/what you'll experience for real if you move to Porto Bella. DJ spinning records at a pool party? Never happened once. Nor has anything even close to it. USB power ports in every apartment? False. Over-sized closets? Nope, just regular ones. While there is a pool, it is an absolute disgrace. The pool is constantly filthy because it is cleaned, at most, once a month. One time when we braved the pool area we discovered a band-aid floating in the pool. Resort-style living, as AMC claims? HAH!
Did I mention that they raised our rent effective December 1, right before the holidays? Now THAT'S customer service! Happy holidays, indeed! When you ask on-site management for documents or needed repairs, they'll take their sweet time doing whatever it is you asked (if they ever do it at all), but boyyyy you best BELIEVE they found the time to make sure the rent increase notice was posted on our door multiple times and sent through the mail. They made time for that, but whenever tenants need something you'll get crickets in response. Not to mention, in our first year here, the ONE and ONLY "improvement" they've made is painting the gates to the pool. Yippee! If that's the reason my rent went up $900 per year, all the more absurd. They never improve or change anything.
Oh and did I mention the time they turned the natural gas off for "planned" repairs, but gave tenants 4 hours notice and the gas stayed off more than 24 hours? Yes, that was a thing! Imagine it: no hot meals nor hot showers for over a day. And you probably think we got a rent or utility bill break for this inconvenience? Again, HAH! Porto Bella and AMC care NOT ONE BIT about tenants--only about the almighty dollar. While we're on the subject of water, be forewarned! The showers will randomly change temperatures on you.
The associate I med Frederick was very friendly and helpful
The swimming pool is not heated, it's even cold on a hot summer day The apartments are cozy, yet they are extremely small in space
There is a resident next door that input huge speakers with tons of bass, even though the apartment contract says there are to be no surround sound speakers and playing music disturbingly loud.
Staff is always ready to assist and usually go above and beyond with requests
