In 1980, the NewSchool of Architecture and Design joined the exciting cityscape of San Diego, California. Though it initially offered a single program that culminated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree, the school now offers bachelors, masters and executive masters degrees in a variety of fields. This expanded curriculum and the hip, up-and-coming atmosphere of the institution's surroundings and San Diego's East Village has attracted many architecture students to apartments near the NewSchool of Architecture in recent years.
