The Monterey Townhouse Apartments has an nice community and is in a great location. We have a bus stop nearby which easily takes you to anywhere in Monterey or CSUMB. The bike trails are nearby so you could bike to school if you don't want to ride the bus and it's a great way to stay in shape. I did that for two years. There's a nearby park which is a lovely walk and In N Out is near there too. In addition, being so close to the ocean is a bonus.
The apartments are located in a great neighborhood and are pet friendly. There is an outdoor space/ patio on each unit, which was important to me. There is a pool and grills available to those who would like to use them. Overall a great choice for anyone who is thinking of moving in, I feel.
Our overall experience is satisfactory. There are some drawbacks such as parking availability and minimal sound proofing between units. Monthly rent and deposits are high for the sq. ft. size, but it's to be expected in this area. However, it is great that they do allow pets and will accept short term leases where most other agencies and landlords will not. Leasing and maintenance staff are very responsive, respectful and helpful.
I've enjoyed living in my apartment home 831 Casanova Ave. A, Monterey, Ca. Like the privacy and the grounds, also club house and pool access. Nick Williams
