PATRICK SILVER sets the benchmark of what property management should be. He is EXEMPLARY. Truly the best. He should go around and train other leasing agents the way the job is supposed to be performed, however, his character and way of treating people is difficult to teach. From what I saw, Villa Del Mar operates with a fundamental philosophy that people matter, tenants matter, and basic dignity of a client matters. Because moving is a very difficult thing to go through, kindness from the prospective landlord makes a big difference. It does not surprise me that Patrick has so many positive reviews, or that tenants say he is the best property manager they have ever encountered. I had a very positive experience with everyone in Villa Del Mar leasing office, but especially Patrick Silver.
The property itself has beautiful views, very spacious apartments, washer and dryer in each unit and a fantastic exercise room. Units are more reasonably priced than other properties in the area. I found the rooms bigger and more spacious than the other buildings. Some of the bathrooms and kitchens are enormous. The kind of kitchen and bathrooms you would see in a home, not an apartment. Units have HUGE closets with huge vanity areas off the bathrooms which are en suite, right off the master the bedroom.
Walking around the property, I had the opportunity to talk to other tenants. They all spoke very highly of how they were treated as tenants. For me that was the best endorsement of all. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
The rental office is very out of date with services and professionalism.
Dog leash laws not enforced. Many residents walk dogs unleashed. Parking rules not enforced. Guests park in resident spaces. Boaters and guests park in apartment spaces. Apartment residents and guests park in boater spaces.
We Have A Boat Moored There ! Management Is Fantastic, However Their Hands Are Tied In Stupid Ways By A Outdated Central Office. Rent Payments, Getting New Stickers When You Get A New Car Etc. Has To Be Handled Thru Corporate. The Old Boaters Bathrooms Showers Are Barely 3rd World, But I Assume They Will Be The Last To Be Done With What Looks To Be A Fantastic Upgrading Of The Aging Units !!
