Constructed in 1906-1910, the Hellman Building, along Main Street and 4th Street in downtown Los Angeles, is a six-story, Beaux-Arts style structure designed by Morgan and Wallis architects. The exterior of the building remains substantially intact. Its sixth-story windows rest on a spiral molding with bays clad in red stone punctuated by terra cotta tablets and wreaths.
The Old Bank District features luxury loft style residences in a unique historic modern feel. The Hellman building was converted into 104 lofts with highly rated ground-level retail. Home to Big Man Bakes, Salon on Main, and the OBD Market & Deli.
