Originally founded in 1923 in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles, California, Life Pacific College, an evangelist educational institution, has changed with the times, ultimately settling in the suburban town of San Dimas. Despite the changes, LIFE, an acronym for "Lighthouse of International Foursquare Evangelism," has maintained the messages of the evangelist church in its teachings and settled into its current location, where students with San Dimas apartments are invited to take part in the active social life at the school, as well as in the larger community.
Students who commute to Life Pacific College from nearby apartments may be undergraduate or graduate students. The college offers Associate's degrees in Biblical Studies and General Studies, as well as Bachelor's degrees in Transformational Ministry or Ministry and Leadership. The school's sole graduate program culminates with a Master's degree in Strategic Leadership. True to the initial focus of Life Pacific College's founders, most students are trained in practical ministry. However, recent alums commonly pursue further education in seminary or graduate schools.
