What Renters Like and Dislike

What Renters Like and Dislike About Carlsbad

Our uniqueness derives from being in a community setting. Mostly corporate businesses, unfortunately!

Neighbors are friendly, houses are well maintained. I am comfortable having friends and family over.

The people is good around me and also loyalty people they are good people there behaviors, talking, and people bonding is so good

No crime in our area. Close to schools. Great walking area. Lots of families . Everyone watches out for each other.

Our neighborhood has a nice, slightly distant view of the ocean, and we can see a gorgeous sunset most days. We have great eclectic restaurants nearby with yummy Italian and Mexican cuisine.

Our neighborhood is near the beach which is nice and for the most part it's sunny year round. A lot of nice restaurants nearby but wish there were more.

All About

Living in Carlsbad, CA

"Welcome to Carlsbad, Calif. This seaside city is known as a vacation destination, but it's also a great place to live within easy reach of San Diego. With beaches, lagoons, shopping, cafes, charming apartments, two ever-changing theme park attractions and a popular seawall walkway, Carlsbad is a beach town with an appropriately breezy attitude.

Known as the Village By the Sea, Carlsbad is home to LegoLand California, a theme park with more than 50 rides, shows and attractions; and SeaLife Aquarium, an interactive look under the sea and into the freshwater life of California's Lake Tahoe. LegoLand has multiple interactive areas, including Dig Those Dinos, which allows children to become temporary paleontologists as they dig for dinosaur bones. Nearby SeaLife Aquarium differs from the usual aquarium because guests can view its displays through the water and from above its surface. Look for apartments in east Carlsbad if you never want to miss out on these two attractions' multiple programs.

Carlsbad apartment residents love the city's two sparkling, blue-green lagoons, Buena Vista Lagoon on the north side and Batiquitos Lagoon on the south side. Not only are the lagoons a source of recreation for bird watchers, anglers and hikers, but they also provide a sense of tranquility for those who happen to be walking or driving by.

The center of Carlsbad is its downtown area, where you'll find antique shops, specialty retailers, book stores, restaurants and charming seaside apartments. When you venture out downtown, check out Back Roads Antiques, which specializes in collectibles from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s, and Victoria's, a contemporary dog and cat figurine retailer that doubles as a center for animal rescue referrals and grief support for those who have lost pets.

If you love golf, Carlsbad is the place for you. Not only is the city home to five pristine golf courses, but it's also the location of the headquarters of multiple well-known golf equipment and apparel manufacturers. Callaway Golf Company, Top Flite Golf Company and TaylorMade are all headquartered in Carlsbad, located within a mile of each other. Look for apartments near the Rancho Carlsbad Golf Course on the eastern part of town for an easy commute to any of these businesses.

The headquarters for Upper Deck, a sports and entertainment trading card manufacturer, is also located in east Carlsbad. The central offices of the Gemological Institute of America and Jenny Craig Inc. are located in downtown Carlsbad. Find apartments close to your work so you won't have to worry about downtown Carlsbad traffic."
