All About

Living in Artesia, CA

Located in southeast Los Angeles county and north of Long Beach, the community of Artesia offers apartment renters plenty in the way of outdoor enjoyment and recreational opportunities.

Being in the heart of Southern California, those renting apartments in Artesia are surrounded by numerous upscale retail districts and shopping destinations. Many visit Artesia Town Center or the Pioneer Artesia Shopping center for their retail needs, while the Lincoln Station center provides another popular shopping option. The community also offers a number of green spaces for apartment residents to enjoy with their families, friends and pets, including the Ecology and Artesia Parks.

The town is also home to the East West Ice Palace, a state-of-the-art facility that offers everything an athlete would need to enjoy winter sports. The center features fitness facilities, a dance and exercise room and a pro shop, but of course apartment residents in Artesia head to the center to enjoy its 85 by 200-foot ice skating surface. The rink is available for public skating or private functions, and the facility offers a figure skating school and ice hockey program for the children of Artesia apartment renters.

One of Artesia's most enduring and unusual landmarks is its inactive 50,000-gallon water tower, a structure that has a clouded history. Officials aren't sure when it was built but have been trying to piece together its past for years in an effort to give it historic landmark status.
