The Links at Sherwood

I helped to move my friends into this apartment complex. They were leased to a fully furnished "suite" everything was fine until I began to change out the covers. I found several BED BUGS under the mattress pad, bed skirt, & one on the wall. Once staff came to personally see they removed at least 5 more from the under seams of the mattress. They offered no accommodations for the lack of inspection/pest control before the residents were able to move in nor were my friends accommodated for the inconvenience after the fact. They REFUSED to replace the mattress. Pest control was called the day after but due to all of the trouble, we ended up helping them move from the property. Now, I'm sure there are some long-standing residents that would say this is a great place to live & I'm not doubting that. I would just like everyone to know not take anyone's word on the cleanliness of the place, conduct your own thorough inspection, & be prepared to have proof because they will try to downplay the situation and make you think that is less serious than it really is.

Don't move here under any circumstance!! The management at the complex is hateful and won't fix any issues, and the corporate office let's them get away with it. There was a leak in the apartment above me at the very beginning of the month that management knew about and had scheduled to fix. They never called to tell me something upstairs was leaking, so I came back Monday after the weekend and found my ceiling falling in and standing water in several rooms. I called and spoke to Brianna and she blew me off and told me maintenance "might get to it tomorrow." Tuesday, I called for an update, and Brianna told me she would call back but never did. After work, I went by the office since I hadn't heard back. They said the carpet had been dried and the ceiling was being repaired Wednesday; however, the carpet was not completely dried and the entire place smelled like mildew. Wednesday, I called to tell them the carpet was still wet in places and I was very concerned about mold growing as I have asthma and a 2 month old. Tasha yelled at me on the phone saying that mold would "absolutely not grow" and all they would do is put in a dehumidifier. By Thursday, there was mold growing on a wall in the bathroom which didnt even have water on it, and the smell was overwhelming. So, Friday I called the corporate office to try to get some help, and Debbie told me that they would be putting in the dehumidifier the next day and that was all they had to do. By Saturday, still no dehumidifier, ceiling is not finished, mold is growing, and I can't live there.

The manager is a bully and extremely rude. The maintenance crew members have sticky fingers and my request have taken over a week I highly recommend you check other apartments
