Lease terms are variable. Please inquire with property staff.
DO NOT RECOMMEND. The landlord does not care about the property or the tenants. If you live here more than 3 years expect to pay substantially more than someone new.
They expect you to pay $25 per month to carry your garbage to the dumpster, not optional. Why do I have to pay $300/yr for someone to carry my garbage to the dumpster when I park next to it??
You must pay for gas whether your apartment has it or not. There are community gas barbecues (2) however I doubt that costs $1000 per month. Unlike most other complexes in the area they will not negotiate.
They have a rodent problem as well. Multiple rats are trapped or found dead around the property daily.
Don't rent from Greystar; they made my wife cry.
My spouse and I have lived in Village at Lakewood for over 3 years; we moved to Phoenix for a work assignment. Each year when our lease came due and we extended, we were required to give a 30 day notice to vacate, take our lease to term, and see what apartments and pricing were available at the end of lease term. Each time we were met with a rent increase even though other apartments in the complex were renting for less. Office management knew that we would more likely pay the higher price rather than to move all our stuff to storage or another apartment and pay application and transfer fees to get another apartment at the same rate or lower (This fact they quoted to me when I went to their office after they made my wife cry). In the case now as I'm writing this review, they told us that we cannot extend our lease at the same price as for someone coming off the street new to the apartments which is about 950-975; that for us it would be around 1050-1075 + 25 trash fee + water and waste. It would be the 3rd time they raised our rates. Additionally, they said we can't write a new contract until we take our current one to term, see what is available then, and move our stuff into storage and be ready to move out if our apartment is rented by then. I looked online and they already rented our apartment to someone else for a lower price than offered to us. They required us to put in a 30 day notice to vacate or a current month-to-month contract would default to $3000 a month. Can you believe that? When my spouse went to the office to sort out this problem the staff made her cry; they told me that there must be a language barrier because my wife speaks with an accent; but then they revealed all this same stuff I'm writing above and I understood it the same way as my wife and English is my primary language. Furthermore, my wife worked as a bank manager for years at speaks perfect English.
Highly recommended it. it's my 2nd time moving to Village@lakewood
I love it here at Village of Lakewood Ahwatukee. I've been here since 2014 and it's a quite community. The office and maintenance staff are nice and responsive individuals. Pet friendly as well. Beautiful green belt to walk-down to the Lakes.
Wonderful staff at an excellent location. This quiet rental property is great for all kinds of individuals or families. I love living in this area and feel like a valued member of a community.
