If u send a certified letter to the landlord they have 24 to 48 hours to respond to ur problem if they do not u do not have to pay rent untill it is fixed u do have to be up to date on ur rent also ones u receive ur little green slip back from the mail man saying the received ur certified letter it's the law look under landlord tenant laws.
Goodness I wish I could leave less than a star. Like any other apartment complex, the rent keeps going up a ridiculous amount when our pay isnt going up. Ive been here for nearly five years and have seen many families of 4 or more people living in a one bedroom apartment because they simply can not afford a bigger apartment. Its sad that they have to do things like that and the owners of these complexes do not care. They just want money. On top of rent going up, we pay all of the utilities including trash and sewer and oh yea each unit splits the water bill, so if your neighbors love taking long showers.... guess who helps pay for that. You. Ive had the tub resurfaced 5 or more times because its so messed up or old from previous people that lived here. Guess theyre too cheap to just replace it with a decent tub. My blinds are also old and have fallen apart, Ive asked for them to be replaced multiple times but they make excuses as to why they cannot. Thermostat is old and out dated. Cant bake anything without the stove shutting off. Light fixtures old/ outdated. My carpet was old and smelt like dog pee when I moved in. Looks terrible and they say when you lease again they have a complimentary carpet cleaning but Ive never gotten that. Theres no fan in my living room, no light on the fan in my bedroom. Some light switches dont work, nor do some power sockets. When asked how I can get my rent lowered since Ive been a calm, responsible tenant they have a generic answer basically saying to move if I can no longer afford it. Not sure why its expensive in the first place. The neighboring places are dirty, with trash on the streets in the neighborhood behind us. There are mobile homes all around in this area. They keep cutting trees down near my spot which were beautiful, not sure why they took them down. All and all Im paying $1000 for an old outdated slightly dis functional shoe box. On top of that I can barely afford food.
this place has predatory billing policies. the office is aggressive. good luck getting the 1 maintenance person to come fix stuff for you. and better make sure that you dont take responsibility for the thing that is broken. and make sure to give your 60 day notice to vacate before the final day of the month preceding the 2 month window. seriously, i am not making this stuff up. and dont show any attitude. that is a very bad thing to do. in fact, wish happiness upon your enemies.
Area is not all that great. Not worth the price. I had a leak from toilet it took 2days to get someone out from when I reported. When I moved out was charged for cleaning of carpet because it was said there was a slight odor, that was a smell that remained from the wet carpet.
The prices aren't worth the quality of the units. The interior of the apartments is dated, the bathrooms desperately need to be upgraded (especially the bath tubs). Perhaps hardwood floors or a stripping of the vinyl flooring and updating the style used. The carpet, perhaps necessary however not flattering.
The units themselves are very spacious and the property feels safe. The apartment complex is just average, I think average prices would be fair (under $1000 for two bedrooms). I would have stayed there if my rent didn't go up to $1050 a month +pet rent.
I hope this was useful.
