Friendly staff , beautiful property
Pillar has other good property but this one has gone down hill and I think it's time Pillar should change out the office staff and mgr. They have managed to get to a point where they can and will retaliate against you if you say something, do something, or if they just don't like you and nothing will be done .. Lot's of lights out , trash not cleaned up on regular base , no pool lights, and no ADA parking or regular parking unforced. If you like to feel like your no buddy and just keep your mouth shut and just pay your rent then this you place but if you feel you are a customer and should be treated like one then look some where else.. First thing is that the residents are told if they write a 5 star review that the manager will give them "free" movie tickets. So they literally pay for the good reviews instead of honest reviews.
I lived here 2x in 2 different apartments for a combined time of 2+ years. I kept to myself mostly and submitted rent online and submitted service requests online as well.
When communicating with the office staff, getting things documented and in writing is KEY. The staff that are there now are so entitled, and it's because the manager makes them entitled and believes that they can do no wrong. If you never have one issue or hiccup with anyone you'll be fine. But if you are looking for your neighbors to be held accountable and clean up after themselves. And expect them to know what's in your lease agreement, then you might want to go else where.
When I moved out, I made sure to get everything in writing, THANKFULLY! I went through the entire process of moving out, and turning my keys early (3 weeks early) 3x with 1x the manager and 2x with the assistant manager. When i turned in my keys I asked when I should expect my move out statement, since I was expecting a refund. Dreana, the Assistant manager toke me 14 days (this is standard AZ law). After 14 days I called and emailed to see where my move out statement was. Dreana responded saying that I wouldn't receive it for about another month because my lease had not yet expired. I reminded her of our 2 conversations that I personally had with her, before I moved out and when I turned in my keys physically into her hand. She then didn't respond to my email for 2+ days. I called multiple times in that time frame and the manager was constantly unavailable and was in eager to call me back. Until finally she responded days later with my move out statement, and just saying that I will receive my check in the mail. No apology for the confusion and no apology for failing to meet Arizona state law when it comes to refunds from apar
Ive lived at Pillar for Taviano for 3 years and honestly, it has been the most amazing place to call home! After doing tons of research, this apartment complex definitely gives you the most bang for your buck. Nowhere else came close in term of location and affordability, yet still has a classy and luxurious feel. The floor plan is one of the most open and functional Ive seen; it feels huge and has great flow! The price has gone up slightly every lease renewal but that is to be expected. The grounds are beautifully kept (gorgeous pools/spas/outdoor dining) and residents are kept informed and updated on progress. The apartments and grounds are quiet and peaceful.it is pretty amazing how zen like the complex is, consisting how many people call it home but Ive never had a serious issue or complaint. Lisa, the same office manager for all three years Ive lived here, is beyond AMAZING!!! I truly feel like she cares about her residents like family and will go above and beyond to handle any issues that arise. The other office staff are wonderful as well (very helpful and kind!). Every maintenance request Ive submitted in the morning before work and as taken care of by the time Ive gotten home. Every single time. When the times comes for me to move on, I will treasure the memories made here! Truly a wonderful gem in the heart of downtown Chandler.
We have lived at this community for 3 years and about to renew for another 13 months we've had nothing but positive experiences with everybody in the office starting with Lisa who is great and always willing to listen and takes action immediately to any complaints the maintenance crew also is great A few weeks ago our air conditioner went out at around 2 in the morning on a Sunday and by seven somebody was there and had it fixed this is definitely a place I would consider if you are thinking about moving in
