The Onyx Hoover Apartments

I just recently moved in to the Element at Hoover, I remember them being The Cliffs at Rocky Ridge. Yes, I seen the reviews and too me the things people were complaining about about are issues that come with renting in any complex. Ive literally been inside and at every building with the Property Manager Lea making sure me and my girls have the perfect or close too fit. Mrs. Lea made sure everything was cleaned and ready for move in. She went above and beyond in my move in experience. I know the grounds arent the best but they are working to get things done. Renovations dont happen over night and I feel if you want luxury living you go have to pay. I also know things take time and somethings are out of there control.My apt is very spacious, I love the design of the floor plan and I am okay making this our new home. Im greatly appreciative of Mrs Lea, Paige, Joe, for everything they have done for my family.

The grounds are barely usable and unsafe. We never got to use the pool because it opened when we got threatened and told not to goto the office. They told me we could swim, but I felt completely unsafe after being threatened, so the kids did not get to swim over the 4th of July weekend.

Such nice responsive staff! They have been making the whole process so smooth and easy

I just moved in and my air has not worked since I moved in and that has been a month now with no resolution. As of today we have to go the entire weekend with no hot water.

Inquiring about a 2 bedroom. And the prices for it.

I am a current resident living in this apartment and trying to get out. When i moved to Birmingham, not knowing the area that much, I was entice by the 1 month free rent and thought this could work. Big mistake. For the $800 plus i paid each month, this apartment is not worth it. From roaches, to puddle and mud that i have to deal with when it rains, to leaks, broken refrigerator and fire place that is not covered and gas increased my gas bill each month., the list is a lot. My advice, research carefully before you make a decision. My safety is more important than the few dollars extra to live in a safe and secure environment. Good luck.
