Midtown oaks is a great place to live. The manager was real sweet as well as the rest of the staff. My move was smooth, and my apartment is really nice, as well as affordable.
I stayed in this apartment complex for a year. From the moment I signed the lease I knew that this apartment complex was going to be trouble. I moved from the Paddock Club to this apartment but it was not the plan. However, the first girl in the office I talk to was letting me know what was all included with with apartment and how it looked in the inside and also letting me know that a washer and dryer came with the apartment and all the utilities were included except cable so I was sold. Well, none of that was true utilities were not included and neither was the washer/dryer. She worked for a different apartment complex giving false information. When I first walked in the apartment the carpets were still wet and the it was a poor job of cleaning. But because I had already signed the lease I made it work. One major issue with this apartment complex they have pipe issues so your water will be off constantly. These apartments are old so they do have mold in them. I had mushrooms growing out of my floor and black mold around my faucet in the bathroom so I was constantly cleaning with Clorox and disinfecting everything. I didn't have a real issue until I had to resign my lease in September. I turned it in and they told me that I would have a $100/off for renewing. Well it's December and they wrote me a letter letting me know I had 7 days to pay an outstanding balance on my account from September. Basically, they lost my lease and tried to make me sign a new agreement. so i was really upset because they told me this 3 months later after I had been paying my full rent.So they got really smart and stated that I could move out with out paying the 95. Well I'm moving out before January to avoid the next month rent. They told me because I didn't put in a 30 day notice, that basically I am forfeiting my deposit and still would have to pay next month and the $95 and any additional fees (cleaning and damage) . I thought that this was beyond crazy and I honestly will never rent f
they are awful, i wouldnt recommend this complex to anyone. they are bug infested and they dont like to come out and fix things. apartment definitely not worth $640. they need to be updated.
not recommended, stink, do not rent here, false charges at the end of your contract, if shame, gym not equipped, pool with water in poor condition
i feel that management could do a better job seeing that requests are completed. The stairs leading to my apartment hasn't been clean since i moved here. There are spider webs in the hall leading to the entrance door, and no window screens on the windows. The walls need painting to make things look a little nicer.
