Elevators always broke. roaches everywhere. Dont fix anything you put a maintenance request in for. Rats on the roof. Place is falling apart and disgusting.
I am not sure Management ever actually checks the maintenance work orders. It took over a month after I moved in for the stove Eyes to be replaced - the big ones sat crooked and didnt work. They literally only addressed it because I went to the front office and asked to have it fixed while I was gone on vacation. I have had other work orders in for about a month, now, and nothing has been addressed - my bathroom door does not close; my kitchen sink does not have cold water; THERE ARE ROACHES EVERYWHERE. The day after I received a notice that they did routine pest control, I saw 5 roaches in my bathroom alone. There is no door for the room with the trash chutes. The entire building smelled like putrid garbage for weeks. I had to email management and let them know that I was becoming worried about my health from the smell causing debilitating migraines. Im pretty sure its a non-smoking facility, but a resident at the end of the hallway chain smokes, causing the entire floor to smell like an ashtray. Someone spilled garbage juice outside of the elevator two weeks ago...and its still there. They do routine inspections to random apartments, randomly, with less than 24 hours notice. There is never a reason listed for the routine inspection. The housekeeping they mention at move-in is a farce. The laundry facilities are WAY overpriced for how terribly the dryers work. I spend at least $20 every two weeks on laundry - and I am just one person! I cant imagine having to do laundry for a family or a couple. The location is nice, the rooftop terrace is nice, and the building could be nice if they actually cared about their tenants.
*also the fire alarm has gone off twice since Ive moved in FOR NO REASON. It went off during Hurricane Nate at 6am this past weekend and was sounding for at least an hour. The power goes out if it rains too hard. No back up generators.
The location is the only reason to live here. Constant turn over in office so no one knows what's going on and no responsibility taken. It is not gated when it is open until 7pm and gates are often broken so do not be fooled if an appliance breaks down don't expect prompt attention and there are days when there is not a maintenance person here and I'm talking 10 floors here so don't think you will get service I know what I speak. Just know the facts before committing.
Well lets see.... Rotten trashy smell in the building some days due to trash shoot, Dumpster outside is always full of peoples furniture and its not supposed to be, People living here that DONT CLEAN up after themselves, People smoking inside the building, Roach infested unless you constantly have pest control spray every week, Seems like they are always working on the water lines and some days only 1 elevator works.
Amazing location, incredibible views. But....... there were bugs in my apt, one of the elevators were broke down half the time, and it smelled. Great place, made many good memories.. it just needs some TLC
