This has become the worst apartment complex ever! When I first moved here, I loved it but after being purchased by Elmington, everything has gone down hill! I also recently found out that they became a HUD property. They halfway fix things and they dont go out there way to make sure that the clients they have are taken care of. In my section of the complex, 3 plus families have left because of they can get better for what they pay for here. The only plus is the apartment sizes but other than that, its old, dated and they cover up defects that the apartment has and you wont find out until after you have moved in. Find another apartment complex in Hoover and make sure that you check the rating of the property management company if that complex.

I'm impressed with the new manager at Wildwood Apts, her name is Denay. she is a huge help with all aspects of the property, when you go to her for any problems, she doesn't just write up your work order and put it to the side, she writes it up and follow through all the way to "COMPLETION", when you have good management you feel that sigh of relief of this is "HOME". Elmington Property Managment Job well done you all hired Denay.

Awesome Property Manager.

I've lived here for 6 years. These are great Apartments, a ton of space open floor plan with large rooms. We have had some problems in the past with the last 2 managers and the last maintenance guy BUT we are getting back on track. Jessica in the office has been amazing and extremely helpful. She is there most days past the time she is supposed and is doing everything in her power to get things done. The new maintenance man, Chris is getting to things as he can is very polite. He came into a horrible mess the last maintenance guy left and is doing his absolute best to get everything done. I truly appreciate the effort that jas been put in by these two.

The "updated" apartment are anything but. They only painted over what was already in there, the walls are not insulated which makes for a sucky power bill, kitchen sink was not properly installed, windows are not insulated either. The rent was raised due to the "updates" made. In August, an inspection was done on all apartments and they have yet to address the issues that needed to be fixed. However, maintenance did bring a light bulb for the stove and sink stoppers for the bathroom and kitchen. There's mold above the front door, my air conditioner went out the other night and I have yet to see someone or hear from management to have it fixed, its still hot outside so its even hotter inside. Lauren was pleasant when I first moved in and handled any concerns. Now this new girl, Jessica says she is the "Community Director" and hasn't addressed anything. No one is hardly ever in the office during business hours. The only things I like about these apartments are the size of the one bedroom and the community is small and quiet.

If there is anything that you need, most of the time I am in the office, if I am not it is typically because I am out on the property walking units for repairs or taking a lunch break. I have lived at this complex for 10 years. I have found it to be convenient to shopping, restaurants and close to my work. Although the apartments are older than some others in the area, Ive found them to be far larger and a good value for the money. Management has always been helpful and handled any concern in a timely manner.
The grounds are well kept with plans to convert an old tennis court into a play ground to accommodate the children who live here. I would recommend Wildwood to anyone interested in a quiet apartment home.
