I have been in contact with Mrs Fredrick for more than 60 days before moving in. She is my contact at The Benton and has been great. Her customer service is outstanding from answering my calls and emails to returning them within an hour. So, I signed my lease and I am looking forward to moving in very soon. I will give another review after I move in and Im sure I will give the complex 5Stars.

My kids and I have been living here at The Benton's since 2012. It was called Chapel Park then, but when they got sued, the changed the name to the benton. I am a government employee and have been effected by the government shutdown that's happening right as I speak. My employer gave us a letter to give to our landlords and creditors explaining that we are not getting paid. I took it to the rent office and gave it to nice lady there and let her know that I will be late on my rent because I don't know when I will get paid again, due to the shutdown. She told me that she will give it to the manager. A week or so later, the manager called me and said he need to know when I was gonna pay my rent, because its past due. I said I don't know because I'm not getting paid because of the shutdown and didn't you get the letter explaining that? He said yeah, but there's nothing we can do about that. But he will call the contact the corporate office and let them know but he's has a gut feeling they're not gonna do anything about it. He calls back and say yeah I spoke with the corporate and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about this situation because of our policy. It's funny because they have specials all the time where people move in and get half off on their first month rent and then throughout the year, they sometimes have drawings where if your name get pulled you may win half off on your next months rent. But here I am with kids, only 19 days late on my rent, an almost 7 year tenant who's job is all over the news showing that we are not getting paid, my employer even called and spoke with the manager hoping they will help me and all I get is "there is nothing we can do." A few days after my employer spoke with benton manager, I get home from work (working with no pay) and there is an eviction notice on my door. I say this to say. These people do not care or help their tenants in anyway all they want is their money.

Toured the community with a friend. Property was very neat and clean and well maintained. The updated colors are very nice.

Do not move here

Im breaking my lease and leaving due to not having A/C since Ive been here. Gave me a portable to freeze my room while rest of apartment stayed at 80 all summer, oh and yes, my Alabama power bill was $400 all summer, pool closed most of summer, outside noise is completely out of control, especially on weekends. My bathroom sink had been overflowing the whole 5 months Ive been here and they do absolutely nothing about it. I have pics in my phone of everything broken that most of was broken when we moved in. Oh and lets not leave out our thousands or roommates that come out at night or day. Everything from roaches to lizards, spiders and stink bugs. You name a bug, youll find it in your apartment. Worst apartment living in Hoover. Dawn Pope however is a breath of fresh air and shes sweet and wonderful. Unfortunately shes not in control of what a dump the Benton is. You will seriously regret living here. My neighbor also broke her lease and left in July. She warns me but I moved here anyway. HUGEST MISTAKE IVE MADE!!! Save your self and go to the Ashby at Ross bridge View Less

We were notified Sept 22 that the A/C unit was not working and that a portable unit was in your home. Our vendor came out on Sunday and addressed the issue. We do not have record of a work order being submitted for the bathroom sink issue. Our Courtesy Officer lives on site and can be contacted for noise complaints during the evening/night hours. You requested pest control on Apr 5th our pest control company could not gain to access your home as the key we have does not work and no one was home.
