Overall it's a nice apartment. I live in the renovated two bedroom with a roommate and we have enough space. Rooms are a little small but they make up for it with a nice living area.
I gave this rating because despite a lot of frustration with the environment it is not necessarily the office staff's fault. For the first month or so I dealt with unsanitary, negligent and annoying behavior from multiple neighbors. Once I was able to properly document what was occurring the office staff was able to put a stop to all of that and now I can enjoy my apartment peacefully. Summer specifically has been an amazing help in resolving these issues.
Do not move here
I put in a maintenance request Monday morning about a hair sized crack in our bathtub(5/11/2020). I do not expect at all for a bathtub to be replaced in a day but the crack turned into a hole 3 days later. In this 3 day span we did not hear from anyone from the complex. Someone finally reached out to me today(5/14/2020) telling me the new tub will be installed tomorrow. The lack of communication is extremely frustrating and if we had known a new tub was ordered already we would have an easier time making plans to shower elsewhere. To top it all off the phone number on the corporate page for the Atlanta office doesn't work at all. To give some context to my frustration, 2 months ago in March we needed our toilet fixed. The maintenance guy dropped the toilet tank and shattered it into about 4 pieces and left the unit without saying anything. We didn't have a toilet for 3 days. This is one of the worst places I have ever lived and would consider a refrigerator box before ever living here again. I know that times are weird, but it is the responsibility of the staff here to make sure we are comfortable in our living space with basic needs met such as a functioning shower.
I moved in about a year or so ago thinking this place was perfect. However, it has since degraded in quality. The main dog park is disappointing because it is completely on an incline which makes it hard to play with my dog. The other fenced in area for dogs is covered with feces. I have had numerous maintenance issues. The exterior of my windows are filthy, so it makes the view a little less than nice. Also, there has been a mouse problem! I have found a total a five mice in traps. The apartments are backed up to woods, but Im starting to find it annoying with how much Im paying in rent just to be living with a mouse infestation and endless maintenance issues. Also, the office staff gossips about other residents consistently. At this point, the only pro I have with this apartment complex is the allowance of pets and the color scheme in my unit. Its not worth what they charge.
There were several locations in my apartment that had mold. When I reported to the office the office manger repeatedly asked me why I waited so long to report, but I reported it as an as I found it. The office manager told me it got so bad because I didn't report sooner and I should be aware of the condition of my housing. The main location of the mild was in a coat closet and I didn't find it until July. It got worse over the summer because I wasn't actively using that closet at the time. Took several weeks and several calls to get a resolution. Once repair work began workers would enter my home without notice.
