Though its name has changed over time, for more than 60 years Montgomery, Alabama’s Faulkner University has been providing traditional and spiritual education to its students. Once known as the Montgomery Bible School and then Alabama Christian College, Faulkner has a long history of instruction with a religious emphasis. Students who choose to live in apartments near Faulkner University can supplement this education with an opportunity to engage with the surrounding community. About 3,000 graduate and undergraduate students enroll here each year, many of whom look for an opportunity to live in an apartment near the campus.
Students from many backgrounds, and with many interests enroll at Faulkner. The Great Books Honors College rewards some students with a curriculum based around the analysis of selected authors that range from Thomas Aquinas to Friedrich Nietzsche. Science-minded students benefit from the Linda Brooks Hall, which features biology, chemistry and physics labs, as well as a greenhouse. Finally, many law students spend much of their time in the mock courtroom at the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, before returning to relax at apartments in the area.
Socially, an apartment near Faulkner University offers a range of opportunities. Residents can catch the school’s sports teams compete for school pride. In 2007, the men’s basketball team tied for first place in the Southern States Athletic Conference, and the football team is building after only several years of existence.
