Danville Park Apartments are okay. Overall, they are safe. I have never heard of crime here, and my husband has accidentally left the keys in our door over night once and one of our neighbors knocked on our door to let us know when they saw the next morning. It is relatively quiet - some tenants have obnoxiously loud cars, but for the most part it is very quiet although you will sometimes hear hear walking above you. The tenant above us had a dog that hated to be in its kennel and we would unfortunately hear it digging at the kennel wire for HOURS. Sometimes at night, tenants will crowd the stairs and hang out, which is disturbing for my dog and makes me nervous. However nothing bad has happened. We find bugs in our apartment rarely, but especially during season changes it does happen. We had ants when we first moved in and have since gotten rid of them. The laundromat is very dated and not all machines work. $1 to wash and $1 to dry. The pool is nice. The "yard" of the complex is large and often maintnenced. The Apartments are very dated. You kind of have to persist for maintnence requests, and the office is supposed to be open until 5:30, but often the managers will leave early, which can prove to be frustrating. The managers in the office however are usually very nice and friendly and happy to help with any issue. My mailbox key gets stuck every time I use it. This place just needs some good updating. My rent went up when I renewed my lease, however for renewing I was offered a free carpet cleaning, free gym membership to their on-site center, or $$$ off of my rent. Overall, I think it is a good and safe place to live, but is really nothing special.
