I enjoy living at The Oaks at Lakeshore. The community feels safe and is generally quiet, I rarely hear my neighbors. I didn't like that I had to buy lights and ceiling fans for the bedrooms and the living room though. But as far as living there goes I have no complaints. Maintenance responds to issues quickly and the ladies in the office are friendly and courteous when you visit. They address you with a smile and are always willing to chat for a minute. Parking is problematic at times.
The staff is very kind and begins working immediately on any concerns about my apartment.
Dana and the other office staff are very dismissive of maintenance requests. Ac has been not working properly for the past three months so much so that our bill was well over $300. The first two months this was happening the most they would do is come out and say try blinds or try locking your window. Then once all three of us residents came to the office and talked to Dana for an hour they put vents above our doors gave us new windows and cleaned the vents. They did give us $300 off rent but we have spent about $575 over on bills for the past several months. All of the cleaning and fixes did not work and they are now refusing to do anything else even though it is still 78 degrees in the apartment. Takes FOREVER to fill maintenance requests sometimes you have to call the office for them to even come out. The pool smells like garbage because it is right next to the dumpster. Put a new oven in but left metal scraps and screws all over the oven etc. Does not care about college students and keeps mentioning to us that maybe we should look at other living options. Feels like they just dont want to fix our problem and just want to get rid of us
I love the apartment and all the services provided. My only complaint is the fact that the apartment complex uses charter for its internet and cable. They are terrible and I have had several issues with the cable. None of these are the fault of the complex but if they offered more than one cable company that would be great.
pool is dirty. people smoke and drink IN the pool, not just at the pool BUT IN THE POOL and leave it filled with filth and bottles and cigarettes. I swam there once and will never swim there again and am moving in large part because of this. Students do not treat the property with respect. It is not a place for elderly or children.
