We moved in at the end of March of this year (2017) and absolutely LOVE IT! I never would have considered living in an apartment before now, at being 49 years-old.

My husband and I are empty nesters and knew that we wanted to move somewhere that was more to our desire, which included places we could walk and have coffee, eat, as well as get to know others in the community.

I have looked at other apartments online and each time I looked, I would not be satisfied. I love something with character and did not want the usual cookie-cutter type apartment but rather wanted something with historic charm.

This superseded what I could hope for in an apartment! We have the most awesome view of Highland ave from our screened in porch, with beautiful old windows and great historic features, which I love!

The staff are MORE than exceptional and go beyond what you could expect, eager to help with any needs.

My husband and I are so spoiled and plan on being here for a long time! :)

This service is amazing. The manager knows exactly what she's doing. Everytime a problem occurred, it was taken care of promptly. Highly recommend these properties.

Rented a ground-floor studio. Pros. Maintanence is quick, will call you if they're too busy. Water is a flat fee. The old hardwood floors they have look great. The landscaping looks good, I love the little courtyard area. Almost no bugs. Nice neighbors, feels safe. Cons: The pet fee is $$$. Our AC doesn't cool well, rely on the window unit. The wall paint looks awful. Water either boiling or ice cold. Many outlets only 2-prong, invest in surge protectors. Parking is a nightmare.

There is not laundry in the apartment complex. We have to walk to a different complex to do it or to a laundry mat.

I feel The Highland deserves an excellent rating for it's prompt and quality repairs, it's prompt and quality pest control, it's lovely apartments, and it's friendly yet unobtrusive neighbors.
