What Renters Like and Dislike

What Renters Like and Dislike About Athens

It is peaceful and quiet. I have a beautiful view of the mountains. All services are nearby but not in the neighborhood.

Nothing to unique, maybe the large storm drain but for the most part theres not much here. Most of the stuff are at the truck stop or a bit of a drive away. So its kinda dull if im being honest.

Pools and pet friendly. Peaceful in the evenings and neighbor's are nice. We clean up after our animals and vehicles

I like that I live within walking distance of several restaurants and little stores & bars. I usually like to walk towards the richer neighborhoods because there is more scenic views.

Athens apartments for rent are located in a beautiful Alabama suburb that is rife with Southern hospitality. You and your family will have no problem settling down in the tight-knit community where the word neighbor is synonymous with friend.

While your new abode is amid a rural-esque area, it still affords you all the modern-day conveniences and creature comforts. Right down the street from your Athens apartment is a Kmart, where you can purchase all the necessary home goods and entertainment equipment. You can also head to the Roses Shopping Center for all of your other necessities like decor and toiletries.

For weekends or after-work evenings with the little ones, you can saunter over to one of the various parks that are peppered all throughout your community. Spring Park on Market Street is the ideal place to play a game of catch or lounge in the verdant grass as you soak up some vitamin D. Also in the area is the scenic Robert Beaty Historic District and Fifth Avenue Park. For some grownup fun, you and your new friends can hit the links at the Athens Country Club and Golf Course. The pristine fairway and close-cropped putting green will surely be a pleasure to play-on, and after you can hit up one of the local watering holes to indulge in your bragging rights.

Just a short drive northeast of your home is Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge. There, you and the little ones can take nature walks as you look out for wildlife and skip some stones on the crystalline body of water that borders the park.

If you and your partner are looking to spend a night out, you can start off with a quick meal at one of the nearby eateries like Subway or Pizza Hut. After, you can watch one of the new blockbusters at the Cinematic Drive In Theatre.
