Ready for a move to Phoenix? You’re in for bright, sunny days, a few dust storms here and there, and some of the best mountain views you’ve ever seen. These tips for moving in Phoenix, Ariz., will help you hire movers and settle in to the “Valley of the Sun” in no time.
Welcome to Phoenix, where some like it hot!
If you’re one of those folks who can’t get enough sun, then you’ll be right at home in Phoenix, where residents see an average of about 300 days of sunshine each year with temperatures reaching 100+ over about 100 concurrent days a year. Summers are sweltering and even winters are warm, making Phoenix one of the hottest spots in the United States. Leave your wool coat in the back of the closet because Phoenix sees just five days where temps dip below freezing each year, on average.
Sometimes the heat is overwhelming, but when the weather’s balmy, Phoenix is a great place to enjoy the outdoors thanks to its proximity to a variety of mountain ranges and national parks — all of which are in view from nearly every section of the city. South Mountain Park, for instance, is one of the largest urban parks in the country. Residents enjoy easy access to hiking, walking and horseback riding trails in this 16,000-acre paradise.
Even if you’re not the outdoorsy type, there’s still plenty to do in Phoenix. Phoenix has professional baseball, basketball and football teams, as well as several minor league baseball teams. There’s a wide range of bars, clubs and restaurants spread across a variety of Phoenix neighborhoods, each with their own unique flavor. And you’ll find more than fifty casino resorts within easy riding distance where you can gamble, enjoy a concert or hit the pool.
And if nothing within city limits entertains you, Phoenix is a quick ride from the beautiful (and more temperate) northern gem of Flagstaff, where boutiques and hiking make for a great weekend getaway. Sedona, famous for its red sandstone rock formations. is another popular weekend getaway, as are Las Vegas and Mexico, both just a few hours from town.
Phoenix movers
As it tends to be hot year-round in Phoenix, hiring professional movers to do the heavy lifting is advisable, particularly if you’re moving during the 100+ degree summer heat.
Just as you would when you hire movers in any city, you want to work with a company that provides professional service, handles your items with care and expertise, and provides a fair estimate for its services. Use your favorite online review site like Yelp or Google to find reputable Phoenix movers like Creative Moving and Packing and Camelback Moving. Both of these well-reviewed movers are Better Business Bureau certified and offer moving services year-round in Phoenix.

Tips are great and I also add that if you plan to move , then move out on a weekend day if at all possible. Trying to move during the week could slow down your move if a lot of kid and adult neighbors are around. Apply the same advice to your move in date if you are going from one apartment to another.
