I am very happy with the quality of life at The Point at Arlington Park. Management is both responsive and responsible, and does a good job of addressing issues swiftly and efficiently. Maintenance is amazing. Whenever we have had issues in our apartment and filed a maintenance request, the issue was investigated and handled the same or next day. The front desk is equally as helpful and courteous.
The location is great. However less amenities are offered here than surrounding places, which is generally accounted for in slightly lower rent prices. Unfortunately, the elevator has been smelling like cigarette smoke quite often, recently (the reason why I didn't rate it excellent).
When the new management took over there was a few months where the building was not well kept up, ie broken air conditioner in gym, many of the lights were out in hallways, and, though it is tenants that are doing it, there was a huge build up of shopping carts on the ground floor to the point it was not only unsightly, but at times blocked the walkway. However, that has since changed and it seems back to normal.
The location is great, the price is not too bad and with the exception of the community room, the building is clean and well maintained. The community room is often dirty (same debris on floors for days, so obviously not vacuumed) and the furniture is broken, the TV remotes are left without working batteries, etc. Also, there used to be coffee provided for the Keurig machine, but hasn't been in quite awhile.
Our satisfaction has less to do with any changes implemented by current management and more to do with the fact that, in fact, almost nothing changed - our rent didn't skyrocket, there were no changes made with pet policies (or, at least, none of which we are aware), and the laundry facilities are still functional.
What is a Certified Resident?
A resident who lives at the property and has completed a resident satisfaction survey.
Advertising properties provide a list of email addresses of its residents to Kingsley Associates, a third party market research firm, who then sends out the satisfaction survey to the residents. Properties may also conduct satisfaction surveys of its residents through other third party market research firms. In those cases, we will publish those survey responses as long as the questions conform to our standard survey format.
Because reviews are from Certified Residents, and are managed by a third party, you can feel confident that the feedback provided is accurate and trustworthy.
