Major Cross Streets Jones Rd and Grant Rd From Beltway 8 East on the Beltway 8 go North on 249 passing Willowbrook Mall. Exit Cypresswood Drive and turn left to go under the bridge. I love my Town Home at Village in the Woods. The management staff is always accommodating and the facility service is impeccable. I have resided here for 7 years and have found the pricing affordable and accommodating. Another great feature is the location and highway access. You should visit and consider VitW as your next home. Dr. Briggs
I enjoy living at Village in the woods the location is Great, I love my apartment home. The maintenance of the apartments as well as the grounds are good. The apartment complex is very family oriented.
The leasing office personnel was very good and got us a great offer on our home but told us it gets cold in the winter so we would lengthen our lease. When talking to other people in the area we were told the weather is cool but it is easily handled during moves. Our unit has some issues that have never been resolved or even acknowledged by maintenance. Our appliances are very old and has broken parts and the stove has uneven burners so pans slide off easy. Your unit does not have lights or curtain fixtures for the walls and once again none of this was told to us before signing the lease. The pool area is unkempt and you have to pay extra for the gym which was also not told to us before signing. The membership costs more monthly than gyms within one mile of the apartment. Parking also has a monthly fee. Once my lease runs out I will be moving into my new home but as for Aimco I will not be promoting them to any of my friends coworkers or family
After signing the lease and placing the security deposit we were informed of miscellaneous charges that were not told beforehand. Parking for 2 vehicles is $20/ month (never mentioned) just to park in the complex. But there are so many 'reserved' parking spaces on site that I am now basically paying to walk quarter of a mile to my apartment. Our dishwasher and garbage disposal faulted 07/09 (date service request sent) and did not repair until 7/11. A/C stopped cooling correctly 7/7 (date service request sent) and was not considered an emergency and had to sleep in hot apartment until next day. I understand that in the Apartment handbook it states it must be 90f outside for it to be an emergency, but why make your customer and his two young children suffer in hot bedrooms? July 10th everyone received a letter stating that the courtesy officer fatally shot a non-resident in the fitness center...this is out of your hands, but does not help with the first impression and overall experience thus far. I am sure I am to experience more issues with the unfortunate signing of a 14 month lease...
So far. So good. I've been here a year now. It's comfOrtable and convenient to everything. Good schools. GOOD SHOPPING. I LIKE IT.
