Rothschild, the building served as a warehouse for Harry C. Kahn & Sons, a furniture retailer. Harry C. Kahn & Sons commercial storefront and warehouse closed in 1961. Pyramid Electric Supply Company would eventually vacate the building, and it would become derelict.
