Maintenance response to apartment issues is good. However noise control and overall cleanliness of the trash and compactor area as well as street are a concern for me. I believe overall for the value this is a good apartment. I would love to see more amenities for residents to enjoy like hot tub, better pool, etc. Office staff is generally friendly but can be hard to get in touch with and get a call back from.
Rockwood Station has made valiant efforts to ensure the safety of its residents. I appreciate the manicured lawns, friendly staff and open door policy they offer. I intend to live here for years to come.
Apts slowly getting better in crime but there is still a lot of work to be done. Office staff and maintenance crew are wonderful to work with. Prices have been rising and due to location of complex and compared to some other properties it is a bit higher then i would expect. There also isnt nearly enough visitor parking. It use to be people could park on the street but then that was removed and now blocked.
The management personnel are extremely difficult to communicate with, they are discriminatory, disrespectful and downright rude. The maintenance personnel run around here with huge attitudes. I've experienced personal property theft, vehicle vandalism on 2 occasions and threats made to me personally - and the management just shrugs their shoulders non-committal.
It's extremely frustrating that the 190th entrance has been closed. Given the fact that one can only turn right onto Burnside, requiring residents to backtrack out of their way to get into Portland, is inconvenient and time consuming. Also, turning the visitor parking spaces into handicapped spaces, leaving only one visitor spot for the entire 190th side of the complex is completely unacceptable. Visitor parking was already a serious issue, but now it is beyond stupid; unable to have visitors.
