The upkeep of the buildings is very good. The maintenance crew responds quickly when there are issues.
To begin with, the staff of Portage Pointe Apts is one of the most friendly ones I have ever met. They make you feel important and show genuine concern for you and the state of the apartment you live in in every sense. The facility is constantly being upgraded and well taken care off and the gym, is the best! Responses to maintenance issues are always taken care within a very reasonable amount of time. I have been in this place for the past 10 yrs. and truly like the way I have been treated.
I have lived at Portage Pointe for about 3 years now. I have always felt comfortable on this property and have enjoyed the welcoming staff and community. Portage Pointe is a great community for those who are no longer in college and want a more family oriented space.
The Valu for the money is based on the expense of the apartments. I believe they are priced a little to high. As for the recreation, portage pointe has a few good things to offer like a pool, garden area, and a kids playground. What attracted me to the apartments was the dog park which has never been built. Would like to see key scanners for the door locks instead of keys. Would like to see another washer and dryer added as well.
I have lived in a variety of apartment buildings in similar locations and in comparison, my experience at Portage Pointe Apartments is average. The professionalism of the office staff and the speed of repairs are the best things about this complex. I also very much appreciate the included amenities, central location, and the quiet neighborhood. The cost is high for the space rented and the neighbors leave something to be desired.
