I gave the apartment an "average" rating because all of the pet owners in the building have ruined the experience for me. There is CONSTANTLY dog waste sitting in the hallways and elevators and constant barking at any given time of day. I guess that is what happens when you get a bunch of recent college grads living downtown.
I somewhat enjoyed my time living at St. Mary's Square. Being new to the area, we made our choice in apartment buildings based off of the promises of a great new community with events and the best amenities. The community aspect of this complex is non-existent. Amenities arent as great as they should be for the wait and the price. There isnt regular communication from the front office, even regarding changes in procedures as the building switched ownership during our lease.
Couldn't move in for 2 days after my lease started because it hadn't been cleaned from construction. The hallways are always filthy(even now that construction is over)like a college dorm. The trash rooms are always gross. My car is all banged up, just from the few short months i've lived here, because the parking spots are WAY too small (i have a small car!). Office staff NEVER follows up and often there is no one in the office during office hours. Its a cheap building a super loud.
Upon moving into my apartment I was disappointed with the mess left behind. Wood trimmings left in the kitchen, white dusty foot prints throughout, scratches on the cabinets and layers of finger prints on the windows. The hallways were constantly a mess with tarps, wood and ladders being left over the weekends. I brought this to managements attention and it was taken care of right away. Overall I do enjoy my own apartment and the layout is great. Excited that the courtyard is open finally.
Lower rent prices. Construction needs to be finished.
