Living at the Ava Dobro was such a great decision. The apartment is so nice and the people working here make everything so welcoming and homey.
This place is amazing. First moving in, I was skeptical since the rooms weren't ready yet and none of us were able to see our place. We trusted it'll be a good fit however because of the warm staff who convinced us it'd be worth our while. Once we were finally allowed to move in and see our place we were blown away. The floors are really nice and easy to maintain. Everything was brand new and really spacious. The high ceilings and big windows are a huge plus. The barn doors are awesome and the kitchen included gas stoves a dishwasher and Lo and behold a garbage disposal! What puts this over the top is definitely the staff. They left beers in our fridge and welcomed us with such enthusiasm, including greeting us every morning. You're never scared to ask them a question or bug them for your package. They also helped me move in a huge bookcase that wouldn't fit through the elevators and brought it in through the construction elevator. These are little things they didn't have to do. I can't wait once the roof and gyms and lounged are finally built! I would recommend this place.
The design of the apartment and community areas is hands down the best I've seen - and I've lived in / viewed other similar buildings in the area. And, the custom art in the lobby and mailroom are a great touch to give it that extra Brooklyn love.
Excellent amenities and beautiful construction. Staff is very helpful and accommodating! Perfect location for walking to bars, stores, and restaurants and ideal for public transportation.
The apartment building itself is not yet finished. That being said when it is completed I'm confident it will be an incredible place to live. The process of moving in was horrific. Being pushed back and pushed back due to construction and management didn't do much to make us feel any less anxious about it. If you rent from AVA which I'd still recommend just know that the building isn't done.
